This November, we’ll be focusing on God’s call on our lives to live out the Great Commission. During these four weeks, we will hear the heartbeat of what God is doing from speakers that are doing just that in the local GTA context as well as globally around the world. Join us and catch why going deeper in Jesus does indeed allow us to go further on mission.
Sunday Service Speakers
Nov 4, 2018 – Bernard Tam
Bernard and his family (Susan, Jedidiah and Joshua) lives in Midtown Toronto, one of the urban centres of the city. He is part of the pastoral team at a small community in Toronto called The Living Room Church that focuses on being Christ’s presence in the neighbourhood. As The Living Room Church, they sought to cultivate an environment that reflects God’s Kingdom together. One of the avenues that the TLRC is exploring in engaging the neighbourhood through house churches; intentional neighbourhood communities that is designed to form deep relationships demonstrating and proclaiming the gospel together. Neighbourhood transformation is one of Bernard’s passion and he sought to lead the church in sharing in the work of transforming the neighbourhoods. You can often find Bernard at his local 3rd wave coffee shop as that is another area of his passion. If you ever need a local recommendation of coffee give him a shout and he can share with you where to go (or go with you too)!
